Homemade Hummus

This quick and easy homemade hummus is creamy, lemony and delicious! it’s the ultimate dip for veggies, pita, or even as a spread on sandwiches.
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings 2.5 cups

Equipment

  • Spatula/kitchen spoon
  • Strainer
  • Can opener
  • Blender or food processor

Ingredients

  • 2 cans chickpeas rinsed and drained
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 6 tbsp olive oil ~1/3 cup
  • 1 garlic clove or 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup toasted sesame seeds or tahini
  • ¼ cup water don't add all at once, check consistency

Instructions

  • Drain and thoroughly rinse chickpeas
  • Add all ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth
  • Serve with veggies, crackers or pita and enjoy!
